England score 291/8, Butler out by making a century; India need two wickets to win

England, on the fourth day of the third Test against India, scored 291 runs in the second innings with eight wickets in the 95th over. Butler made his first century of his career. Butler-Stokes shared 169 runs with 346 balls. Butler was dismissed by Jaspreet Bumrah for 106. Bumrah also dismissed Johnny Bairstow and Chris Woakes. Hardik Pandya took the wicket of Ben Stokes.


Earlier, Ketan Jennings was caught by Ishant Sharma by Rishabh Pant on 13 runs. Ishant hit out Alastair Cook for 17 runs. Jaspreet Bumrah, Joe Root and Mohammad Shami dismissed Oli Pope. Earlier, India had declared their second innings at 352/7, with a target of 521 for England to win.
