Preparation for change in Flexi Fare scheme of Railways, not to be paid in the recession months More rent

To provide relief to the passengers, the Railways can change the flexi scheme next month. It is also being considered for keeping the plan closed in months of low crowd. Now, in the scheme of booking tickets in the premium trains, the passengers have to pay more than the air fares many times.

The news agency, quoting an officer of the Railway Ministry, told that less than 30% seats are being booked in some trains. In such trains, there is a plan to temporarily stop this scheme in months of low mobility as experimentation. He said that there is also a need to make changes in the scheme on the lines of Hansafar trains. Initially 50% of the tickets are sold at 15% higher than the basic fares of the Third AC, express and mail trains. This slab grows after 10% seats are booked every time.

Even considering the discount on rent: Similarly, the government is also considering options to give special discounts on short routes. The final announcement will be made next week for these changes. Recently, in the report of the CAG, Railway was flown over the Flexi Fair. According to the report, on booking tickets for 120 days, it is cheap on 17 routes, compared to the rail travel.

What is Flexi Fair: The Flexi Fair Scheme is applicable in the capital, centenary and remote trains. If the train tickets are sold in the fixed quantity in these trains, after 10% of the tickets sold, the rent increases by 10%. The scheme was implemented from 9th September 2016 in these trains.
