ISRO will launch Chandrayaan-2 on January 3; By 2022 Gaganayan will send a human mission
Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has announced the date of launch of Chandrayaan-2. ISRO chairman Sivan said on Tuesday that it will be launched on January 3. It will fall to a fixed position near the Moon's South Pole on February 16. Apart from this, India will also send human missions to Gaganyan in space in 2022.
Siwan told that the weight of Chandrayaan-2 has been increased to 600 kg. Actually, during the experiments, it came to know that when the part of the moon coming out on the moon comes out it will move. So, it was decided to increase its load. Now it will be more than 38 quintals including the satellite. ISRO plans to launch 19 missions till March 2019.
Launching Vehicle was also changed: Because of the increase in the load, it will not be able to launch from GSLV. GSLV-MAC-3 has been modified for this. This will be called GSLV-MAC-3-M1. Chandrayaan-2 was planned to be launched earlier this year in October. Siwan told that it will be the first mission of the world, which will reach near the Moon's South Pole.
Three astronauts will be sent from Gaganaya: ISRO has also prepared the blueprint of India's first human space mission, Gaganyan. Through it, three astronauts will travel around the earth in an astronaut of 350 to 400 kilometers. They will experiment with extremely low gravity. This mission is aimed to complete by December 2021. Earlier this experiment will be unmanned twice.
