Guwahati. BJP MP RP Sharma, daughter of Pallavi Sharma, was arrested on Wednesday in connection with alleged allegedly taking jobs in Rupees for money. He was posted as the Deputy Superintendent of Police in Shivsagar district. The special court heard this case on Friday. After this, Pallavi and 18 officers of his batch were sent to 11 days custody.

He had alleged that a government engineer named Nabakant Patir had offered to get a job in the APSc for giving 10 lakh rupees. After this the police started investigation, in which many officers were found involved in the scam.

They include 13 Assam Civil Services (SCS), 3 Assam Police Service (APS) and 3 associate services officers. Dibrugarh district's district superintendent of police Gautam Bora told that the handwriting of officials was matched by the writing of the anchor, and the handwriting of the officials was different. So far 54 officers have been arrested in this scandal. These include Rajarshi Sen Deka, son of former Congress minister Nilamani Sen Deka.
