WhatsApp payment service will be launched and late, government is not getting permission

WhatsApp has already done its testing service for India. Despite the testing, it has not yet been launched. The government is not completely satisfied about this service of WhatsApp. The government wants to know how the company will store the data and how will it use it? For this, the Electronics and Information Technology Ministry (MeitY) has sought more information from WhatsApp and its partner banks.

Launching in the first week of June: This move of the government may delay the launch of WhatsApp's payment feature. Initially this feature was going to be launched in the first week of June, but it could not be done at that time. Now there will be more delay in launching. The Electronics and Information Technology Ministry has asked the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) to ensure that WhatsApp's payment feature follows the follow-up guidelines of the UPA Transactions.

- In India, WhatsApp spokeswoman Anne said that we are working together with our payment service provider along with the Government of India, NPCI, Multiple Banks to deliver this service to more people. He has not made any comment about the payment service's launch date.

What is happening to WhatsApp: WhatsApp is quite popular in India. It has a much larger user base than apps offering other payment service like PayTM and Google Tez. With the delay in its launch, WhatsApp is lagging behind its competitors in attracting business users for its payment service. This is causing the loss to the company.
