Bad news for iPhone users, Apple phones can be banned in India within 6 months
New Delhi (Tech Desk) Millions of iPhone users in the country may have to face the brunt of the ongoing war between the iPhone maker Apple and the Indian Telecom Regulatory Authority (TRAI). On one side, the authority has announced new rules for telecom companies for fake calls and spam messages. On the other hand, if the war between Apple and TRAI continued, then issuing notice to telecom operators like Airtel, Vodafone and Geo, the registration of the application can be canceled.
Because of this, Apple and TRAI face-to-face
Indeed, the ongoing war between Apple and TRAI is related to Tri's Do-Not-Disturb (DND) app. TRAI has designed the new version DND 2.0 app for the Do-Not-Disturb (DND) app for iPhone users, which Apple has not listed on its App Store. Trai wants Apple to list this app on its store so that users can filter spam calls and messages. On the other hand, Apple has argued that TRAI's Do-Not-Disturb (DND) app asks users to record calls and messages, which can cause a threat of privacy for users.
TRAI released new guidelines
TRAI announced the new guidelines on Thursday, according to which all Smartphone users in the country have issued guidelines for installing the 2.0 version of the Dow-Not-Durb (DND) app. However, these guidelines were issued for telecom operators because TRAI is not the regulator of mobile manufacturer companies. TRAI is the only telecom operators' regulator.
Apple's device will not be available in network
According to the TRAI's new guidelines, all telecom operators in the country should ensure that the 2.0 version of the Do-Not-Disturb (DND) app on all registered devices on their network within the next 6 months is regulated by Regulation 6 (2) (e ) And 23 (2) (d). If, on any registered telecom operator, if this app is not allowed on a registered device then it will be unregistered from telecom network under Regulation 6 (2) (e) and 23 (2) (d) of Regulation .
Apple may be disturbed by the insistence of the users
Apple maintains strict guidelines for registering any app on its App Store for privacy of its users. On the other hand Android Maker does not have such strict guidelines for any app on Google Play Store. At present the 2.0 version of the Do-Not-Disturb (DND) app is available for Android users only. If Apple continues its tough stance, then problems may arise for all iPhone users across the country and their device may be unregistered from the telecom network (3G / 4G).
